Aidan Birr kicked a 23-yard field goal with 11 seconds left and No. 14 Georgia Tech rallied for a 36-34 victory over struggling Boston College to remain tied for first place in the Atlantic Coast Conference.

As expected, Georgia Tech remains atop the ACC standings after Week 12. What wasn’t expected, however, was how close the Yellow Jackets came to losing their lead in the conference during their game against Boston College on Saturday.

No. 14 Georgia Tech averted a catastrophe when placekicker Aidan Birr’s 23-yard field goal attempt sailed through the uprights with 11 seconds remaining to give the Yellow Jackets a 36-34 victory over BC on Saturday night at Alumni Stadium.
